The company helps merchants make a decision on whether or not to accept checks by analyzing the information about the transaction and cross-referencing it against the database it maintains. They basically help process immediate payments from paper checks by converting them into electronic ACH transactions.

However, here’s the important part, Tele Check doesn’t have access to the checking account balances. The decision to approve or decline a transaction is made based on information in their company database and system.
